about the cottage 〰️
The cottage started as a single room in the early 1800s, before being pieced onto considerably over the years, with The beautiful Cottage-Orne latticework on the porch bein added in the 1840s.
Most of the rear of the home was later demolished before being abandoned for nearly a decade. When Aaron sanders head and tim higgins purchased the cottage (from a friend who saved it from demolition), it was missing its front porch and had no exterior back wall.
Work began on the Cottage in December of 2023, and Watching the cottage come back to life has been like watching a bird preen itself back to life, fluffing up its feathers proudly. like with all historic structures, Work always continues on at the sumac cottage.
