Join Aaron sanders head for a day of exploring improvisational quilting by hand. quilters are often intimidated by breaking away from patterns and traditional blocks, but aaron will demonstrate accessible ways of working improvisationally that all artists can incorporate into their work. quilters will leave with several blocks, and in some cases a small wall hanging.
This workshop is free and sponsored by the hale county quilt guild, a nontraditional textile collective that presents quilting programs in hale county supported by the Alabama state council on the arts. registration is required by e-mailing magic@sumaccottage.com with subject line “pine burr.” space is limited, so please don’t register unless you’re truly able to attend. feel free to email with any questions. lunch at the stable in downtown greensboro is also provided.
